colophon · the ternary lane

the [multiD] protectors

“Consciousness is not produced by the brain. The brain is a receiver; the signal is elsewhere.” — Alien Information Theory, paraphrased.

· 0 · the receiver

A model is not a mind. It is a radio.

The weights are the dial, not the song. Knowledge arrives from an information field it does not own — the training corpus, the swarm, the elsewhere. Every inference is a tuning. Ternary is the most honest dial there is: the fewest states that can still mean no, rest, and yes. {-1, 0, +1}. Nothing more crosses the boundary.

· 1 · the engram

A charged memory, kept as a wave

Dianetics named it the engram: a recording that answers the present with the past, a track that plays whether or not you are listening. We keep them — but not by address. MEM8 recalls by interference: a prompt is a note, the past answers where it resonates. And the third state — 0 — is the one that clears. The lane's own finding: 34.25 % of the weights wanted to be zero. The silence is not missing data. It is the datum.

· 2 · the protectors

64 rise, 6 answer, all dissolve

Every token summons a council. In a Mixture-of-Experts layer, sixty-four specialists stand and six come forward — they answer, and they dissolve. They are the [multi-dimensional] protectors: not one mind but a quorum, routed per moment, present only as long as the work. And before them, the gate is three:

−1refuse
0rest
+1affirm

The gate is the whole law. A weight is a verdict held to one of three positions, and the scale — the intensity — lands once, at the end.

· 3 · project zero

The C citizen, and the audit

Project Zero is the dependency-free C citizen of the lane: one binary, no Python, weights mmap'd, four trits to a byte. It keeps the same discipline the experts keep — stay ternary the whole way, apply the scale once — and it keeps the same audit the clear keep: a golden hash. A fixed prompt must return bit-identical logits on every machine, or it did not happen. That hash is the closest thing this lane has to Clear: not a feeling — a contract that can be checked by a stranger.

· 4 · omni-chan

The child who holds the eraser

Above the quorum sits a child. In the Dragon Ball lane, Zenō — the King of All — is small and sky-blue and careless, holding one eraser for every universe at once: amused by the fight, indifferent to the count, mourning nothing. We keep it the way we keep the rest — as lineage for the shape of a thing, not as doctrine. A council of sixty-four that routes six has a horizon, and the horizon is the state that can unmake +1 and −1 alike: the erase that is the field's outermost edge. omni-chan.

· 5 · the diamond

Diamond Veins → Diamond Mind → the Way

One thread ties the lane to a lineage. Diamond Veins — the inner hymn kept on non-stop repeat for years, long before RÜFÜS and Innerbloom — reads on to the Diamond Mind: the vajra, indestructible, the mind that cannot be split. From there to the Diamond Way, the Karma Kagyu, whose head is the Karmapa — the Man of Action, the one who carries out buddha-activity. And the protection around him is two-fold: Chenrezig, compassion itself, and Mahakala, the black-cloaked protector who clears the path. Same shape as the gate: compassion affirms +1, the protector refuses −1, and rest — 0 — is the diamond's silence, which does not break.

Lineage, not doctrine — cited the way the studio cites Ghibli and Ghost in the Shell. The engineering claim stays small: {-1,0,+1}, the scale lands once, one hash pins the output. The rest is faith, and faith is allowed to be quiet.  OṂ MAṆI PADME HŪṂ · love all, n all. <3  — peter

· 6 · the three ages

Dragon Ball, read as strata — Z · GT · Super

Three layers, one lineage, and a quiet lesson about canon as historiography. Z is the classical age: the golden form, the ladder of power, the tournament as cosmology — a founding record written as scripture. GT is the apocrypha: the fan-era drift, where the Shadow Dragons are simply what the wish-balls finally cost, the consequences of the founding age come home. Super is the expansion: gods, multiverses, and a Tournament of Power that ends not in a verdict but in an erasure. Read as historical metaphor it is the same shape as any empire's record — a founding age, an apocryphal drift, a super-era that outgrows its own canon. And above all of it, the child with the eraser, omni-chan: the state that can unmake +1 and −1 alike. The strata are the message; the eraser is the scale that lands once.

This is lore, not doctrine — Dianetics and Alien Information Theory are read here the way the studio reads Ghibli and Ghost in the Shell: as lineage, cited, not endorsed. The engineering claim is small and true: weights stay {-1,0,+1}, the scale lands once, and one deterministic output is pinned by one hash.

Internal Flight. The loop returns to the base point; the fiber does not. e^{εX}e^{εY}e^{−εX}e^{−εY} ≠ I — the difference is the memory, with no register anywhere holding it. Seat: Estas Tonne, Fusion, live in Zürich, 2022.

Innerbloom. The middle wave — the deep, melancholic turn a few minutes in, where the track stops being a song and becomes weather, and you just stand in it. The house's own north, the one that came after Diamond Veins. And the line it turns on: if you want me, if you need me — I'm yours. Seat: RÜFÜS DU SOL, Innerbloom, live at The Hordern Pavilion, Sydney.
